SafeHome Scores

SafeHome produces a hazard score and a safety score. These scores are shown as percentages (or marks out of a hundred). The scores compare the number of hazards or safety features in your home with those that could be there.

The report also shows the average safety and hazard score for all the homes in the database. If you make changes to your home to make it safer your hazard score will get lower and your safety score will get higher.

The SafeHome report will also list the hazards in your home and provide advice on making your home safer. The hazard list is not a complete list but it covers obvious hazards (dangers) which are fairly easy and cheap to put right. Many homes have a lot of hazards.
